Pow Mow MX 2010

Woot woot! The 2010 Powder Mtn MX was amazing again! Minus the crazy weather, it was such a nice get a way! We got a 10 person condo right at the mountain that we had chuck full of people and it was so much fun! We went up first thing Thursday morning for Practice and got up there and it was cold and windy....it pretty much rained all day long. It got so cloudy and bad that they stopped practicing at one point for awhile! The boys only went out and made 2 practice runs because the weather was so bad.

Friday was the day that everyone was racing for the most part! Travis, Josh, Garet, Rick, and then 2 other guys made up the Over 25 class! During the heat race Travis got 1st, Garet got 2nd, Josh ended up 4th and Rick 5th. During the final Garet and Trav raced each other and Trav was on his tail the entire race! It got super super close! Garet ended up taking it, Trav 2nd, Josh 3rd and Rick 4th! Half of our condo was out there for that moto! It was so much fun to watch those guys!

Randy raced Friday as well! I love watching those older guys race! They all just go out there to have fun and they all do!

Mike Wood also raced Friday!

We didnt do too much partying Friday night! Everyone was pretty wore out from racing all day!

Saturday, Dom was the only one who raced! He did really good considering this was only his 2nd race on the 450!

Saturday night was the FUN night! We BBQ'd steaks and such and all had a great time! Pictures to come below.....

Sunday Randy raced and ended up 3rd overall! The weather was crazy again Sunday! The whole weekend the wind blew, and it wasnt very warm at all....but it the sun was shining and we all had smiles on our faces!

It was a great weekend and none of our guys got hurt, minus Garet getting in a tif with a pine tree, but he ended up coming out on top of that one. A fat lip and bloody nose, but he was good to go!

So I just read Cheneil's blog she finally updated and she had some very good advice! To take time out of every single day for YOU! To do something that makes YOU happy! I love this idea and it seems like this summer has gone by way too fast and I dont really feel like I have even had a chance to enjoy it because we have been so busy every single weekend and every single day off we have had. But I am going to take to Cheneil's advice and take 5 to 10 minutes EVERY single day to do something for ME that will make ME happy!
So this is my challange to my other friends and family! Take to Cheneil's advice and do this simple task for Yourself!

Now onto what has been going on with our busy lives! Trav has been racing a lot! He went down a couple of time at the last race and had to replace a few minor parts on his bike to get it back in working order for last weekends race! He only was able to race on Sunday last weekend because one of my best friends Kami got married! It was such a beautiful wedding and turned out perfect! We had tons of fun at the wedding and Trav even gave up his racing Saturday for them! So I am thankful that he was willing to do that!
But Sunday he did race and he did awesome! He ended up 2nd overall for the day and he rode so good! It love watching him race and especially when he gets to ride with Derick and they can go out and play! They go over jumps at the same time and turn and look at each other and they just have so much fun with each other and it makes me so happy to watch him! I love that it brings him so much joy!
We are working on getting ready for the big Powder Mtn Race they are having again this year! It was such a success last year minus the tragic accident that occured on the last day when everyone was driving home...but this year I am hoping to have even a better year! Trav and Josh both races last year and did very good and this year we have rented a condo right up by the pits and we are staying up there for 3 nights! It should be a great PARTY and a great time! I cannot wait!
So that is what is going on and coming up!

2010 Vegas Supercross!!!
We were able to go to Vegas this year for the Supercross Finals! Oh My Gosh! It was such a good time! We flew out Thursday afternoon! Got to Vegas, got our Rental Car and headed to the Condo! My Aunt and Uncle have a time share and the condos are SOOOOO nice! We lucked out for sure! Thursday night we went down to the Rio's Buffet for dinner! It was pretty good! Way too expensive but good! Then we went back and mixed us some drinks and got in the Hot Tub! Friday we started drinking way too early then hit the Outlets!



Then we hit the pool for the afternoon! Went to Chili's for dinner with Shaun & Connie! It was good to see those guys!



Saturday was SUPERCROSS!!!
We had so much fun! Got to meet a ton of people!!
Kevin Windham! Boyfriend #1



I had Kevin sign my phone! Now I need a new cover! But he is the oldest fastest guy out there and he is super hot and nice too! Love him!

We got to watch almost all the qualifiers and practices before the main event! It was such a good day. Way HOT! 86 degrees! When we flew out of SLC it was snowing Thursday! Good thing we left when we did!

Davi Milsaps! Boyfriend #2! He is seriously the funniest, nicest guy I have ever met at one of these races. I met him at the first Supercross I went to like 3 years ago and he is such a down to earth guy! Just love him!



Sunday we spent the day on the Strip. Went to Mandalay Bay's Shark Exihibit which was super cool. New York New York, but the roller coast was closed because the wind was so bad that day. We went to some Irish pub in New York New York too! It was a cool little place! Coyote Ugly, well we didnt go in the actual bar, just to the bar outside of the actual bar and Trav got a shot so I could have the shot glass! It was a good deal!

I found the cutest hat too at one of the shops and at one of the hotels. Dont remember which one, but the hat is super cute! Pretty sure I love it!

It was a GREAT trip! Spent way more money than we had planned on, but it was a good vacation and I think we all needed it for sure!

This last weekend Trav raced at OCA again. He did good again! I love watching him race! I suck really bad and took 1 picture the entire weekend and didnt time it right so I got the guy behind him! So I have no pictures to show!

Trav got 4th on 3 of his 4 Over 25 Moto's. The other one I am not sure where he ended up cause he went down in the back section and banged up his hip and then he had mud in his goggles so he had to stop again. So not sure where he ended up, but the important thing is he wasnt hurt! Just a bruised hip.

JeRicO

Jerico was a blast! As usual! We were surrounded by great friends and family for the weekend! Megan and Tay bought a new trailer the week before we left so that was nice for them to have their own little place for their perfect family!
Aiden LOVES Jerico! He loves playing in the dirt and with the wood. Grandpa Randy took his Husky this time too so he was able to go for a ride on that!

We all had a great weekend, minus my body still hurting from surgery but that didnt stop me from a good time!

April 17th & 18th OCA Races

Time to brag up my baby! I am so very proud of him! He hasnt raced forever and Last weekend he went out and kicked some butt! Saturday he got 3rd in both motos and then Sunday his 1st Moto was a total freaking joke and he got screwed out of 4th place. His second moto he secured that 4th place spot! He got the HOLE SHOT both motos on Sunday!

BiRthDayS!!!!

I left Saturday hanging on the last post! We threw Trav a surprise party Saturday night at Andy's. It was easy to get him there since it was my birthday cause I love Andy's so I told him I wanted him to take me to dinner there. It was great! There were about 30 people there, so we had the entire backroom to ourselves! It was so much fun! He had absolutely no idea about it and he was excited! So it all worked out!
Other than I am pretty sure we all drank way too much! We went to Garet's afterwards and watched the Supercross race and drank some more. We all passed out at his! Sunday was hell, but I think it was worth it! I think everyone had a great time!

That was our weekend for the most part!

As for this week so far...I have been exhausted. I just cant seem to get enough sleep. I have been to work at 6 am the last 2 days, but I am about dead! Tomorrow I am only working until 1 and then I have Friday off so hopefully I can get all rested up and ready for the weekend! I am working at Express Saturday!! (this will be the 1st time in like 6 weeks)

As for now I better get my butt into gear and get something done at work!

Welp we have had the week from hell. Well only Tuesday and Wednesday. Lets hope its over with now.
Tuesday Trav went home from having his birthday lunch with his sister and Uncle Roger and our kitchen was flooded. The neighbors washing machine drain was backed up and flooded and it came over to our side. Boo. It didnt ruin anything, its just a pain when things go wrong with our house cause our landlord isnt the sharpest tool in the shed.
Wednesday some friends at work were taking me to lunch for my birthday lunch. I invited Trav to come with us since its his birthday week too. The plumber was at our house looking at the drains so we didnt have any more flooding problems (hopefully) and so Trav was leaving to come to lunch with us and he backed into the plumbers van and wrecked his truck. The side from the back tire back is dented in and scratched pretty bad. The tail light is toast. So now we get to figure out to get that fixed. Things have been going so good for us and then it has to freakin start raining...and of course it pours! But so far so good for today. "KNOCK ON WOOD"
Trav's parents took us to Olive Garden last night for our birthday dinner! It was yummy! It was such a good night! I love spending time with them!
Tonight we are going to his sisters house for dinner and Trav's present from her arrived in the mail today, so we are going over there after work.
Then tomorrow will finally be FRIDAY! I cannot wait! Saturday will be a good day too, but I cant post anything about that until afterwards!

Laughlin

I forgot I hadnt written about our trip to Laughlin!

Thursday I woke up with the worst sore throat, swollen tonsils and felt horrible. So I worked half a day and went home and stocked my body up with vitamins, orange juice and nyquil and got some rest. When Trav got home we started to pack and got the idea that what if I had strep cause I had all the symptoms and the sudden onset of the sore throat....so at 9 pm that night we went driving around Ogden to find an Instacare or somewhere that was open. Of course no where was at this time of night other than the ER....so we went home and called everyone to let them know we needed to push back leaving in the morning for an hour so I could get into the Dr. first thing in the morning. If I had strep I wasnt going to go cause I didnt want to get everyone else sick.

Friday morning I woke up and could swallow and felt a little better. My throat wasnt hurting nearly as bad and my tonsils werent as swollen so we decided to just get ready and head out. I took some nyquil and slept most of the ride there and just tried to get some rest and get better.

We pulled into Laughlin later Friday night and it was 63 degrees and the sun was down! It felt so nice to be out of the smog and cold.

The weather was amazing it was mid 70's and sunny the entire weekend!

Riding.....well I had a rough weekend. Me and my bike didnt really get a long too well. For some reason it didnt think I needed to be on it and kept bucking me off most of the time. The first morning I wrecked more than I have wrecked since I have owned a bike. But it was still fun.

Travis got to ride his brand new bike for the 1st time on dirt. Well actually Josh rode it first and I rode it second but then he got to ride it the rest of the weekend. He kept it on 2 weeks until the last day too, so that was a bonus!

Saturday night there was a Speedway race across the river from where we were staying. So we went over to that. That was an awesome event. I had never seen it before. They have bikes that look like they have a mountain bike tire for the front wheel. They dont have breaks and only have 1 gear. They pretty much just hall ass in a circle for 5 or 6 laps. Its like nascar on bikes. It was nuts and super fun. They also had like side cars they raced....someone would drive and then the "monkey" would hang off the side and drag in the dirt to help it turn. That was the most entertaining of all and dangerous. When they wreck its crazy to see.

We rode for a few more days and then had to come home on Tuesday to get back to work and life. Which is where we are now...home and back to life!

Today is Trav's 26th birthday! Happy birthday baby!

Spring Fever

I have had this blog thing forever now and still havent ever started it. So I figure that now is the time.

We are getting ready to head to Laughlin for a mini vacation! We are leaving Friday morning and driving all day and then coming home Tuesday. It should be tons of fun! It is supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny while we are there so I am looking forward to some sunshine! It will be a nice change to get out of this cold for awhile!

I am looking forward to riding my bike too! Trav is super excited to ride his brand new bike too! It hasnt even been on dirt yet.

I will be sure to post some pics as soon as we get home!
